5 month update

Were sitting up! That's her biggest accomplishment this month. She is sitting up on her own! either on the sofa or on the floor, holding and chewing her toys for a good few minutes until she tries to grab her toy that's a little to far. Then she ends up face planting the floor and screaming because she can't get off her tummy.. she gave up on the rolling from last month, did it for about 2-3 weeks and now can't work it out again.

She is weighing in at 14lb 3oz, still on the 25th line. Small but mighty, but also very long. I'm 5ft 10 and Dads 6ft so she's got no chance. She's wearing 6-9 months baby grows and all her 3-6 trousers are too short. Socks are a nightmare because she eats them all!

Which leads me to her favourite toys.. her feet! this girl doesn't need toys. I can leave her in her cot in the morning playing with her feet while I jump in the shower and she's more than happy. (I can see her from there btw) Other than that she has had a Christmas toy from her Nanny and Grandad that lights up and vibrates which she loves. She's also learnt to shake anything that rattles like her keys or she has a little wooden one. She's not too bothered by stories (She tries to eat the book) but she loves nursery rhymes or anyone singing to her. Row row is still her favourite and she even rocks her self and finds it so funny.

She's a total daddy's girl and will sit and stare at him all night till he looks at her then he gets a big beaming smile. She mostly looks like him too and has all his expressions. Her hair has stayed dark and not curly like mine so that's daddy too. All she has of me is her blue eyes and long fingers, that we can see so far anyway.

This month we are really looking forward to our first family Christmas. Taking her to see all the lights and seeing her little face when she has all these new toys. We know she is going to be spoilt rotten. Plus she'll be able to join in on some of the Christmas food!
